YAMAHA CSG III H Bb CLARINET
Bb clarinet with Boehm fingering system from CSG series that delivers a warm sound yet has a clear focused centre surrounded by a wealth of overtones, resulting in extraordinary beauty and expression. Slightly plump barrel and thick-walled bell produce a deep tone with rich resonance and depth. Ergonomically-designed improved key shape offers comfortable and natural key touch. Unique Hamilton-plating is applied on the nickel silver keys, allowing a focused and centred sound. A newly shaped Eb lever is adopted as a standard, along which the entire mechanism is totally re-designed as well. Cork pads and leather pads are optimally placed to maximize on their tonal quality, touch and functionality. Redesigned tapered tone holes with hand-tapered undercut maximize superior tone quality, even intonation and a uniformed response throughout the full range of the instrument. Other features include an adjustable thumb rest, a grenadilla body and a 5CM mouthpiece. A fitting case is included. Barrel length: 54 mm, 55 mm.
“The Yamaha CSG III H Bb clarinet is named after Canens, a Roman Goddess of Song. The “G” stands for German. We gave the name “CSG” to represent the German taste such as short barrel, ring-less bell, and its mild, soft tone colour.”
